虹色ダイバーシティ理事長。社会保険労務士。日系製造業、外資系コンサルティング会社等を経て現職。LGBTQに関する調査研究を行い、データを元にLGBTQも働きやすい職場づくり、性のあり方による格差のない社会づくりに取り組む。2020年に婚姻の平等（同性婚）に向けたキャンペーン「Business for Marriage Equality」を開始。 2022年には「プライドセンター大阪」を開設。著書「虹色チェンジメーカー」（小学館新書）。

Maki is a lesbian, and one of the most renown LGBTQ activists in Japan. Nijiiro Diversity – nijiiro means a rainbow in Japanese – is an Osaka-based nonprofit organization. She conducts research on LGBTQ issues and uses the data to educate society. In 2020, she has launched a campaign called Business for Marriage Equality to raise understanding and support from businesses. The campaign is already endorsed by over 460 companies. In 2022, she opened Pride Center Osaka, a groundbreaking center for LGBTQ individuals.
